| Finch and Squirtle are a wonderful pair of young cats, born in April 2006. They were originally adopted from our rescue as kittens. They are in search of a new home due to their owners recent health condition.
Finch is a polydactyl cat, with a brown/black/tan/white tabby coat. His main motivation in life is food and dry cat treats; his stomach is the key to his happiness. He loves to play with toys that have feathers or strings that dangle. He will play fetch with a mouse if he is in the mood. He loves to cuddle up with you in bed or on the couch and purr to show that he is happy to have you home. He is very vocal and likes to talk. He will tell you when he is hungry or wants to play, and will also just trill to say hello. He likes water and plays in the bathtub often, chasing down drips from the faucet or droplets on the shower curtain. He loves his brother Squirtle and looks after him, making sure Squirtle's face is clean, and covering up after Squirtle in the litter box. He will chase Squirtle around in play, but sometimes gets jealous when Squirtle gets too much attention. He is a very independent cat and would be ok if he had to get separated from Squirtle. If Squirtle is at the vet, Finch is very happy to have you all to himself. He is more wary of strangers than Squirtle, especially men. He warms up to new women quickly.
Squirtle is a black/brown tabby with a little white on the chin. His main motivation in life is love. He would take a cuddle, pet, or kiss over food any day. He wants lots of attention and loves toys that he can bat around. He purrs a lot and wants to be near people. He also loves cat grass. He would be happiest with wet food, but eats dry food because wet food does not agree with his brother. He doesn't talk as much as Finch but will do a little high pitched mewing and squeaking to tell you he loves you. He will get very vocal if he hears you opening a can in the kitchen though! He likes to cuddle with his brother Finch who looks after him, but gets VERY jealous. He would like all the attention for himself, so he doesn't tolerate Finch getting too much attention unless he is being petted at the same time. Squirtle would be fine on his own because he could have all the attention to himself. When Finch was in the hospital Squirtle thought it was heaven to have mom all to himself. He also loves the attention of being brushed to look pretty.
